Learn about Thailand's many sailing destinations.

Thailand has a large number of sailing destinations that are perfect for a yachting holiday. Read about them here to help you decide where to charter a yacht.

The Andaman Sea

On the East of Thailand is the country's main region to set sail on a yacht charter.

Phuket is the primary departure point, thanks to it's many marinas, international airport and proximity to stunning spots like Koh Phi Phi, Koh Racha, Phang Nga Bay, Similan & Surin Islands and Myanmar's stunning Mergui Archipelago.

Of course that doesn't mean places like Krabi and Koh Lanta aren't still exceptional places to leave land from, giving awesome access to phenomenal places like Koh Ha, Langkawi, Koh Lipe and all of the Koh Tarutao National Park.

The Gulf of Thailand

Found to the west of the Thailand's mainland is a variety of remarkable destinations worthy of exploring on a yachting holiday.

Island like Koh Chang, Ko Lan, Ko Khram and Koh Samet can be found to the north and are mainly accessed by Pattaya, an easily accessible city, famously built around tourism with all the amenities and luxuries you could need to make the most of your holidays. Alternatively, Rayong is a lesser developed and more chilled out spot to base yourself before and after a yacht charter.

Further south you will find the incredible islands of Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and most impressively, Ang Thong Marine Park. Best reached by Thailand's second largest island, Samui. Koh Samui is set up for tourism with an international airport, a large selection of resorts, restaurants, villas & beaches. If you'd prefer to set off from mainland then check out Surat Thani.
